Joe McElderry

X-Factor Winner 2009

Joe is a former X-Factor winner and a celebrated pop icon. As well as this he is also a seasoned stage performer, leading the touring cast of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat", and performing with our Principal in "Tommy", alongside many other phenomenal shows!

A few years ago, Joe released a song called 'Baby Had Your Fun'. Look out for his Triller music video on YouTube where you can find some of our incredible CAT students strutting their stuff!

In October 2023, Joe had the Bfourteen Choir sing some Joseph Songs along side him in his Birmingham leg of his tour. It was an honour singing with you Joe!

Rachel Tucker

West End Leading Lady & Wicked Witch of The West

Rachel Tucker's stage credits include Communicating Doors (Menier Chocolate Factory), The Last Ship (Neil Simon Theatre, New York), Farragut North (Southwark Playhouse), Elphaba in Wicked (Apollo Victoria Theatre, London and Gershwin Theatre, New York), We Will Rock You (Dominion Theatre) and The Wizard of Oz (Belfast Lyric Theatre). She has toured venues in the UK and US with her own live performances and has released two solo albums. Television credits include the BBC series I'd Do Anything, Alongside our Principal Ashley J Russell.

Alan Williams

Veteran Musical Director

Alan studied piano and conducting at Chetham’s School of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. 

He works as a Musical Director, Supervisor, Arranger and Orchestrator. His most recent credits include: The Boy in the Dress (Royal Shakespeare Company), Evita (Open Air Theatre, Regent’s Park), Big Fish (The Other Palace), Funny Girl (Menier Chocolate Factory, Savoy Theatre, UK Tour & Cinema broadcast), The Commitments (Palace Theatre & UK Tour), Shrek (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, UK tour & Australia) and Eric’s (Liverpool Everyman).

 

Musical Director credits include: Disney’s Aladdin (Prince Edward Theatre), A Damsel in Distress (Chichester Festival Theatre), Assassins (Menier Chocolate Factory), Urinetown (St James Theatre & Apollo Theatre), A Chorus Line (London Palladium), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee & Passion (Donmar Warehouse), Monty Python’s Spamalot (Palace Theatre) and Little Shop of Horrors (West Yorkshire Playhouse). 

Theatre includes: ‘Zaki’ in Big Fish (The Other Palace); ‘Tobias Ragg’ in Sweeney Todd (Welsh National Opera, West Yorkshire Playhouse and La Monnaie De Munt); ‘Tom’ in Millennium (Soho Theatre); the title role in Peter Pan (Milton Keynes Theatre); ‘Boq’ in Wicked (Apollo Victoria and the original UK & Ireland Tour); Hair (European tour) and ‘Tom’ in The Guinea Pig Club (York Theatre Royal)

Workshops include: ‘Rusty’ in Starlight Express for Andrew Lloyd-Webber (The Other Palace) and The Tailor-Made Man (Arts Theatre)

Television includes: The Royal Variety Performance 2017, Rod Stewart’s Christmas and Britannia High (ITV)

Other work includes: UK professional jury member for the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest (BBC)

Recordings include: Andrew Lloyd Webber: Unmasked (The Platinum Collection)

George was also one of the first tutors at Class Act when we first opened our doors!
